Hey all. New inspiron 1501 laptop, hen I close the lid, jaws starts saying no selected item if I view the system tray and slo won't read the headers in outlook express. And before anyone asks, hobernation is of, and I have it set to do nothing if I close the lid. Any help would be great, I have the theme set to windows xp and I'mnot sure i want it to look classic because if I do I don't want the menus to change. I like the xp format mostly so thanks everyone.

You can change the theme without changing the layoutof the start menu and taskbar. And, if you're sure it ain't a problem with JFW, Go on google and look up the probles and see if anyone has had issues before. Why are you trying to close the lid of your computer and have it stay on? I have mine set to standby. It hasn't anything to do with hybernation.

Because having three cats you can't have it open all the time. Plus it's just me. maybe I wil set the theme to classic see if that fixes it because no one else has this. It figures, I get the how the hell did that happen, problem no one else has heard of or known about.

I use Dell but I've never had this probblem! I've changed mine to the classic veiw! Since I'm already used to it! I don't like change! My lap top broke so I'm back to my good old Dell desk top! My mom bought the lap top from me! It had to be sent off to be fixed!

Well, I am not sure what to tell you. I don't know if it will work to change theme. It might. Try and see. Could be that it's your copy of JAWS, and you might have to try to repair it. Maybe, if your computer was ever working right, you can try to do a system restore to the date when it was working. I don't know. See if that helps.
